creation of Double Page Spread.

The first thing that i did for my double page spread was create the image that was going to be on the page, I did this on photoshop as opposed to InDesign. I chose for the image to be in black and white to add the indie retro aspect of the genre and therefore appeal to the audience. The title uses the idea of having the two A's in different colours similar to the front cover, this creates a link between all of the pages. To continue the use of using different colour is also used on the word future, which is in white, this therefore highlights the fact that he is going to be the future of the genre and therefore music. The quote stands out well off the page and also gives an insight into the type of artist he is going to be.

The next thing that I did was make a quote and centralise it, this is because I knew that this would be an important part of the magazine and therefore would be key to the insight into the type of magazine and also I would want to have the text wrapped round a quote.

I then inserted my text (as seen in a previous blog post) and this was wrapped round the quote in the middle, the text takes up a lot of the page as this is important in maximising the information delivered to the reader and this is why the text takes up a large proportion of the page.
Finally to remove the dead space in the corner of the page I added another image of Jake, this was important as white space often makes the page look less professional, the image was again in black and white to continue with the retro theme of the page.
