Some of the skills that I have learnt having making a copy of a magazine already made have made the job of making a completely new magazine a lot easier. To begin with the use of putting another image onto another background such as the red of the font cover have been made better through this task. It is important to the creation of the magazine to not include any of the background and therefore it is important that these skills were advanced. For this task i used the magnetic lasso and this allowed me to create a sharp looking image for the front cover. Another skill is shown on the text on the 'NME' and 'FOO FIGHTERS' section on the front of the magazine with the white and the black being wrapped round the text. This was important in both making the NME looking authentic in this example however also with the creating of my own magazine allowing different headings standing out on pages. The layout of the magazine is again maintained as to what my previous research through the idea of the main image taking up most of the page of the front cover and text wrapped around the image. The contents page uses a lot of image fitted together to look like a busy magazine with a lot going on as well as promoting many of the available stories which is key for the promotion of different articles. The photography that I used was the use of the mid-close up of the image and this is because it is often shown in many of the magazines and this therefore worked effectively in this magazine also.
